"Rotting Dreams of Carrion" features black metal which rocks. Dark, energetic and straight forward. The guitar sound appears as organic and earthy as stoner rock (remember Kyuss?), the vocals are almost as grim as Immortal's. That is a rousing combination and highly effective even without any spheric or epic elements. Check the hits: "Atomic Revolt", "Son of Dawn" or "It has a name". H.L.

Absolutely classic-to-the-core, straight to the point in the vein of early 2000's Dark Funeral and Naglfar, with some Cruelty era CoF thrown in. Nostalgic as all fuck, and I love it. xaphanapraxia

Sometimes when bands move from demo to first release, they lose something: not as fast or not as evil or too produced.
This album is not one of them.
The recording is cleaner, so you can hear things better than _Rise of Death_ but otherwise, this has the same black thrash from the speed layer of the Abyss sound.
Highly recommended for fans of Shakma, Nuclear Revenge, early Kreator, or Gallower.
Several horns way up. perverseosmosis
